Announcing an exciting opportunity for students in the region - we invite any student in Colorado and beyond to join us for this special one-day workshop in Colorado Springs.
Conducted by Maestro Steve McNeal, Assistant Conductor in Residence for the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras at Colorado State University. Students will read and rehearse Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. Musicians will also attend master classes presented by members of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and the USAF Academy Band. Come and experience professional quality training with fellow musicians from all over the region!

Cost - $60 per person. Space is limited so please submit your application by October 24, 2011. Applications received after this date will be considered but cannot be guaranteed. Students will be notified via email of acceptance after registration is received.

Peakharmonic has 6 ensembles - Overture strings, Prelude strings, Symphonic orchestra, Wind Ensemble, a Sax Ensemble and Concert Band. All musicians who are interested are welcome to visit a rehearsal prior to audition to meet our conductors.

Peakharmonic Youth Orchestran and the Don Wheeler Memorial Foundation invite all French Horn players between 12 and 24 to compete in the 2011 French Horn Concerto Competition. The winner of the competition will receive a one-year tuition scholarship in Peakharmonic Youth Orchestra and the opportunity to play a Philip Farkas double French Horn for the season!
