Audition requirements:
  • Solo piece of 2-3 minutes in length (need not be memorized) showing your level of technique and musicianship
  • 1 to 3 octave Major scale (1 octave for Overture, 2 octaves for Prelude or Wind Ensemble, 3 octave Major scale for Symphonic Orchestra)
  • Be prepared to sight read a selection that will be presented to you at the audition.

The Bee Vradenburg Foundation, a long-time supporter of the arts and culture of the Pikes Peak Region, has given PYO a Challenge Grant for the 2009-2010 season. Our challenge is to find individuals who will donate any amount up to $1000 and this will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Foundation. Please join the challenge by sending a donation to support this season! Your contribution will go directly towards the improvement of our student programs and is tax-deductible.

New Location for PYO
 
Rehearsals for the 2009-2010 Season will be in a new location - Front Range Alliance Church at 5210 Centennial Blvd. This beautiful new facility will allow for rehearsals at these times:
 
Monday:
Overture Strings 4:15 - 5:30


Tuesday:
Symphonic Orchestra 4:15 - 6:30
Wind Ensemble 4:15 - 6:30
Prelude Strings 4:15 - 6:00
